A night somewhere completely different!

If a change is as good as a rest, then a unique break must be one of the most restful weekend breaks around - with a choice of unusual and interesting spots to stay in, any couple will enjoy the variety of surprising and quirky destinations from which they can choose.

Any weekend away makes a welcome break from the normal routine, but the chance to stay somewhere with a bit of a twist makes it even more fun. There is a wide variety of unusual destinations to choose from, including an oast house where hops would once have been dried out for the brewing industry, a floating hotel on the Thames where the views from each window are of the tranquil waters of the country’s most famous river. For a romantic weekend away, there is even an old registry office where a couple can spend the night at the scene of many weddings over the years.

From castles to coaching houses, caravans to court rooms and many more there are plenty of fun and fascinating places which are perfect for any adventurous couple to stay in for a short break.

This is a one night stay for two with breakfast.

This was a present as a 1 night stay. We decided to book in the restaurant as more of an after thought than the driver for the stay. It was a great decision. The food and service was excellent. We opted for the 6 course taster menu with wine. A map of Italy with information about each course and where it came from was on the table. Everyone was very friendly and we felt we were having a treat, which we were.
The room was clean and very quiet. Low doorway but that wasn't a concern for us.
Even the aftercare was great, I accidently left my keys behind and they found them and returned them to my home address.
All in all, I would highly recommend staying and eating at The Old Bakery!
Thanks

The option we selected to book was entitled 'unique places to stay' unfortunately the 'activity' which we selected was the closest place geographically to where we live. It wasn't until we arrived that we realised that it was simply rooms above a hotel, not what we expected atall! The rooms were ok, very bijou shall we say but the restaurant manager was very friendly and the breakfast good. I have to say though I would never recommend activity superstore to friends/family as I learnt that although my husband's elderly grandad had paid £100 for the experience, in fact the hotel room only cost £75 and Activity Superstore pocket the rest on 'admin' I find this bit of a con to be honest especially for elderly folk who may not have many pennies and put their trust in companies such as yourselves. You may well argue that the additional 'fee' gives the purchaser flexibility but actually we found this not to be the case as many if the 'activities' were geographically far to far away!

Great place to stay, right near the pier and in walking distance of most things in Brighton. Definitely worth it!

We paid £109 for a one night stay in the malt house in looe Cornwall.it was the smallest bedroom we have ever slept in,outside steps passed our window which people passing would look into(not private at all)The malt house charged £65 per room per night,a big difference to what you charged us.there was nothing unique about "the malt house".could not Fault the owners who were very friendly, the breakfast was first rate, not for people with walking difficulties"very steep hill to park your car ?we would certainly not recommend "unique places to stay to anyone".

An excellent stay, in a beautiful location. The staff were very helpful and we felt that we were treated like royalty rather than guests - nothing was too much trouble. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
