beautiful hotel in stunning surrounding and town centre within walking distance, staff were polite and very accomodating
No breakfast included in the package, so if we wanted breakfast we were being asked to pay £10 each. The starter at dinner service were bland and over priced and although we very much enjoyed our main courses on both evenings, mine on the second evening was served with peas & carrots that had been cooked together and then sweetened - too much!

Tip: Offer should at least include breakfast. Apparently my husband paid £99 for this, the deal was only £94; so maybe there could be a way of making up the difference whilst at the hotel - complimentary drink on arrival (for example). Fortunately my husband got it in a half price deal - I would not have been so enthusiastic if it had been full price.

Great location only 1 mile from Exeter Town Centre and half an hours drive to Torquay.
Rooms very clean and comfortable.
Would definately come back.
Fire alarm went off very early one morning, but none of the staff seemed to know why. Obviously lots of noise on our floor so ended up not going back to bed so made first day quite tiring.

Location and the fact that we were accommodated in a newly refurbished room with brand new bedding. Breakfast was fine.
Needed a lesson on how to unlock the door as the lock was worn and sensitive! Similarly we initially thought there was no hot water but then learnt that if you used the tap to reduce the flow the water became hotter. Conversely the shower was too hot and had to be reduced to a dribble to be bearable!

Tip: Provided the plumbing has been sorted the refurbished rooms are best.
