A totally traditional tea for anyone who appreciates a tasty treat.

There are a couple of theories about the origins of afternoon tea: did it begin when Catherine of Bragnaca married Charles II in 1661 and brought the tradition of drinking tea from Portugal to England, or when the seventh duchess of Bedford, Anna Maria Russell asked her butler for a pot of tea in 1840.  However the tradition began, since its inception afternoon tea has represented the height of sophistication.
As an increasingly popular experience, afternoon tea is a chance to enjoy some fare fit for royalty in beautiful surroundings with well trained staff to cater to your needs.

Your tea menu will depend on the location you choose, but will typically consist of a selection of sandwiches, scones with jam and cream, and pastries or cakes all served with your choice of teas from around the world.

A real Treat - Tea for two
17/10/2010
Yesterday we had a lovely tea for two at Jaspers in Cardiff. Although we arrived an hour earlier than expected we were warmly welcomed and soon shown to our table. We were served by the very friendly staff with a choice of beverages(we chose a pot of tea) and a delightful tea of delicious sandwiches, scones (with cream & jam) and a choice of cakes. We felt we had to comment as we had an excellent 'experience' and would definitely recommend it.
